The Hettich EBA 200 is a compact medical centrifuge intended for the preparation of platelet-rich plasma (PRP). It is manufactured in Germany by Andreas Hettich GmbH & Co. KG, in Tuttlingen.
It is fitted with an 8-place fixed-angle rotor that holds centrifuge tubes of up to 15 ml. Its maximum speed is 6,000 rpm, corresponding to a maximum relative centrifugal force (RCF) of 3,461 g.

The fixed-angle rotor (between 25° and 40°) holds 8 tubes. It is compatible with the 9 ml and 15 ml tubes used for PRP preparation. The fixed angle gives an identical sedimentation path from one cycle to the next, so the same centrifugation protocol can be reproduced from one preparation to the next.
At 6,000 rpm, the RCF reaches 3,461 g. These values cover the parameters commonly used in PRP preparation protocols.

The lid locks automatically during rotation and only opens once the rotor has come to a complete stop, in accordance with standard EN/IEC 61010-2-020 for laboratory centrifuges.
